Position Summary
As a member of the professional staff, contributes specialized knowledge and skill in a discipline (e.g. Accounting, Finance, Human Resources, Information Resources, Operations Planning & Support, Sales & Marketing) area to support team and/or department business objectives. Generally, works under limited supervision, but within established guidelines, producing and analyzing more complex business information to assist in the decision-making process. May be required to have knowledge of managing multiple brands/sites in markets.
The Rental Sales Manager implements and executes Rental Leisure sales for the Hyatt Vacation Clubs and related properties. The role focuses on maximizing Rental Leisure Sales opportunities and revenue, building long-term customer relationships and repeat business, and contributing to the overall success of rental sales.
Manages promotional opportunities with Revenue Managers to drive rental sales through the implementation and communication for rental sales segments, including Wholesale/Travel industry, Leisure and Business Transient, and Airline Crew. Key responsibilities include building and maintaining relationships with leisure partners, ensuring effective communication of pertinent information, managing customer expectations to deliver a seamless experience, and tracking partner performance, Additionally, the role involves maintaining up-to-date portfolio reporting and analysis, providing insights to senior leadership for informed decision-making.
Expected Contributions
Business Partnership
- Collaborate with Revenue Managers to know the rental sales strategy for each resort, market and seasons.
- Develop and nurture relationships with wholesale domestic and international direct partners focusing on specific markets and resorts.
- Conduct regular quarterly follow-ups and maintain open lines of communication with priority wholesale partners, meticulously tracking and communicating their production and business outcomes.
- Represent Hyatt Vacation Club at key travel industry events and trade shows, actively promoting the portfolio of brands, in key markets and properties.
- Educate partners on the distinguishing features of Hyatt Vacation Club compared to other Hyatt brands and competitors, emphasizing each brand's differentiators and service strategies.
- Collaborate with Revenue Managers to implement timely and targeted promotions, tailored to meet resort and market demands, optimizing rental inventory utilization by the wholesale partners.
- Coordinate with on-site resort teams, as necessary, to conduct comprehensive site inspections and accommodate potential and existing wholesalers, travel agents and airline crew RFPs.
- Serve as the liaison between external rental sales business partners, MVW Inventory and Revenue Management and the MVW Law Department, ensuring effective contract negotiations.
- Develop and explore wholesale, business travel partners, and airline crew opportunities with Hyatt Hotels, and ensure rollout and execution as appropriate.
- Ensure compliance with Marriott International brand and operational standards.
- Collaborate with the Rental Marketing on copy and photography for wholesale marketing promotions, content and collateral.
- Prepare reports, analyses and quarterly and ad-hoc presentations, and present results to business partners.
- Work with the IRM Reporting team to improve and automate reporting capabilities.
General Operations
- Performs the following types of basic tasks: analysis, auditing, budgeting, forecasting, programming, research, report generation, and software integration.
- Remains knowledgeable for each region the resorts need times to ensure rental opportunities are targeted and available inventory is being optimized.
- Responds to, solves, and makes decisions on standard/routine business requests with limited risk.
- Responsible for own work and contributing to team, department and/or business results. May direct work of non-management staff.

Candidate Profile
Education or Experience
- Four-year college degree preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years professional experience.
